1.2 - Kudos

---------------

What Are Kudos?

---------------

Kudos are like a point system. You get them for doing certain things in a race

such as sliding around turns and passing cars. You also get some at the end of

a race, how many is based on the difficulty you set for the race.

The only real use for kudos is to up your kudos rank. At first, you don't need

to get very many kudos to make your rank go up, you can do it by beating a few

races. Once your rank is much higher, it will take a lot more kudos to go up a

rank, you wont be able to go up in rank very fast then. When you go up in rank,

you get Kudos Tokens, which you can use to buy cars. Basically, you want to get

kudos so that you can increase your kudos rank, in order to get Kudos Tokens to

buy more cars with.

-----------------

Ways To Get Kudos

-----------------

There are many ways to get kudos, there are 14 different ways to get kudos in a

race plus one more for after a race. They are as follows:

Slides: When you do a slide, you will get kudos as long as the slide lasts

Good lines: There is a dark spot on all of the turns in every race, if you

follow this line with optimal speed through the turn, you get kudos

Two wheels: If you can get your car up onto two wheels, you get kudos for as

long as the car is like that

Air: When you get air from a jump, you will get kudos for as long as your car

     is in the air

360: If you can do a 360-degree spin during a race, you will get kudos for it

Clean section: You can only get this when you pass a checkpoint. If you went

from the last checkpoint to this one without hitting anything,

you get the clean section bonus

Clean race: If you can get through the entire race without hitting anything,

you get this at the end

Overtake: When you pass another car, you get kudos for it

Draft: When you draft behind a car, you will get kudos for as long as you draft

Overtake (Draft): If you pass a car right after drafting it, you will get extra

                  kudos for the overtake

Time bonus: When you finish a race with a time limit, you get kudos for every

            second left on the clock

Fast lap: If you get a faster lap time than your opponents at the end of a

race, you get kudos for it

Position: If you place higher than third place in a race, you get kudos for it

Cone gates: In Cone Challenges, you get kudos every time you go through a cone

            gate

To further increase the number of kudos you get, you can do combos. Once you do

something in a race to get kudos, you have a window of about two seconds to do

a combo. You can start a combo by doing something else to get kudos. For

example, if you get a clean section bonus at a checkpoint and then start a

slide to get you kudos within two seconds of getting the clean section bonus, a

combo will start. Not only do you get the kudos you would normally get when you

do a combo, you get a specially combo bonus, based on the number of things you

did to get kudos during the combo. In that example, only two things were done,

so the bonus would be small. The more things you do to get kudos, the bigger

the combo bonus. This is very important to getting lots of kudos, since

eventually the combo bonus can become very large. You can't hit any barrier on

the side of the track or any cones in Cone Challenges when doing this, though.

If you do, you will lose all of the combo bonus kudos.

1.3 - Kudos Tokens & Medals

---------------------------

Kudos Rank and Kudos Tokens

---------------------------

Both online and offline, you have a kudos rank. The rank starts at one, and

goes up as you get kudos. You can always see how many kudos you need to go up

to the next rank. When your rank goes up, you get some Kudos Tokens. At first

you wont get very many, only about 2. Once your rank gets much higher, you will

get as many as 20 Kudos Tokens when you move up to the next rank. Kudos Tokens

are used for one thing: Buying new cars. At first, you will only have a few

cars in each class of cars. If you want more cars, you will have to spend your

kudos tokens on them. The cars in the earlier classes only cost a few kudos

tokens each, but the ones in the later classes are much more expensive.

------

Medals

------

Medals are earned after every race. The medals you earn are based on the

difficulty you choose for races. When you beat a race on expert, you get a

platinum medal. Hard gets you a gold medal. Medium is silver, easy is bronze

and novice is steel. After a race, you get a bonus amount of kudos based on

which difficulty you beat it on/medal you get. 5000 kudos for expert, 3000 for

hard, 1500 for medium, 750 for easy and 500 for novice. Medals easily show you

which difficulty you have beaten a race on. Next to each race, there is a spot

that shows the medal you got for the race. There is also a spot next to each

series in Kudos World Series so you can see the medals you got in it.

There is also one other use for medals. When you finish Kudos World Series, you

will unlock cars based on the medals you get.

1.4 - The Garage and The Showroom

The garage and the showroom are nothing like how you might think they would be

from the way ones in other racing games are. You can actually walk around your

garage and the show room to look at the cars. You can move around with the left

joystick and look with the right joystick. You wont start out walking when you

are in the garage, you have to press Y to go into walk mode to do so.

When you are at the car select screen in single player, you can go to the

garage or showroom. When any car is selected, press right and you will have the

option to go to your garage. Press right again and you can choose to go to the

showroom.

-----------

Your Garage

-----------

Your garage will show you cars you own. You wont be able to see all of the

cars, either. Only the ones in the class that you were in when you chose to go

to the garage. Cars that you do not own will be covered up, so you can't see

much of them. You can still see their stats and you can also press A to buy

them if you have enough kudos tokens. If you press A when you are next to a car

that you do own, you will select that car for the race that you picked before

entering the garage.

There are also a few bonus things in the garage. One is a boombox, which sits

on top of a counter. It will play a random song and you cannot change the song

that it plays. The other thing is the arcade machine that is on a wall. If you

go up to it and press A, you can play the mini-game Geometry Wars. There is

more information about that game in its own section in this FAQ.

------------

The Showroom

------------

The showroom shows you all of the cars in the game and not just the ones you

own in the currently selected class. The cars wont be all grouped together in

here, instead the will be in separate rooms. The rooms have a sign outside of

them that tell you what kind of cars will be inside, most of they rooms only

have cars from specific manufacturers. Note that there will be five cars in the

showroom that are covered. These cars are unlocked by beating Kudos World

Series, and will be uncovered when you unlock them.

There is also a very useful feature in the showroom. When you go up to any car,

even one that you own, you can press A to test drive it. There is a special

track for test drives, where you can get a good feel for the car. Before

spending Kudos Tokens on a car, you might want to test drive it to see if you

like it.

1.5 - The Types of Races

There are 7 different types of races in this game. Street Races, One on Ones,

Cone Challenges, Hot Laps, Timed Runs, Overtakes, and Speed Cameras.

------------

Street Races

------------

These are simply races against other cars. You will be against 3, 5 or 7 cars

in these races. The difficulty setting determines what position you have to

come in and the difficulty of the other cars. The higher the difficulty of

them, the faster they will be. Expert always requires you to come in first

place and hard always requires you to come in second. You always start in last

place in Street Races.

-----------

One on Ones

-----------

One on Ones are like Street Races, except there is only one other car to race

against. They are usually much easier than Street Races, because you only have

to beat one other car. The difficulty settings for these races determine how

fast the other car will be.

---------------

Cone Challenges

---------------

Kudos is the goal in Cone Challenges. There are no other cars to race against,

only kudos to get. You have to get a set amount of kudos that is determined by

the difficulty settings. To help you get kudos and to make the race harder,

there are cones on the track. Yellow cones and orange cones. Yellow cones are

just there to get in your way, avoid hitting them because hitting one will have

the same result as hitting a wall - you lose a kudos combo bonus. Orange cones

will also have the same result if you hit them, but they can actually help you

get kudos. Orange cones will always come in pairs, called cone gates. You get

10 kudos whenever you pass through the two cones that make up a cone gate.

Getting combos are very important in Cone Challenges. You wont be able to beat

any Cone Challenges on expert unless you have a combo that lasts through the

entire race. There is no other way to get enough kudos. On hard and medium,

combos are also important, but you don't have to have ones that are as big to

win.

--------

Hot Laps

--------

Hot Laps are the same as time trials. When you pick a difficulty, you are

picking the time limit to do the one lap in the race. If you can finish the lap

within that time, you will beat the race.

----------

Timed Runs

----------

Timed Runs are the same as Hot Laps, except there will be more than one lap in

the race. The time limit you get for the difficulty you choose is to complete

the whole race, not just one lap.

---------

Overtakes

---------

Your goal in Overtakes is to pass the other cars on the track. There will

usually be up to seven cars to pass, and every one of them starts in front of

you. They don't all start the race together, they start the race spread out

along the track in front of you. There is no set number of laps in these races

and the race ends when you run out of time. The amount of time you get, along

with how many of the other cars you have to pass, is determined by what

difficulty you choose.

-------------

Speed Cameras

-------------

Speed Camera races don't take place on a standard track that forms a loop. They

take place on a segment of a track with you on one end and the track's speed

camera at the other end. When you pass the speed camera, you have to be going

at the target speed or faster to win. The difficulty you choose determines the

race's target speed. To make things harder, the tracks Speed Camera races take

place on will never be straight. There are always a few turns somewhere in it,

and the key to winning each Speed Camera race is to master the turns in it.

Note, there is a time limit in these races, but it isn't very restrictive.

===============================================================                          2. Kudos World Series Mode

===============================================================

This section gives you help in beating the races in Kudos World Series mode.

Some basic advice as given for every race, and I also detail every part of the

track that the race is on (Except in some cases where you race on a specific

track in more than one different race). In this section under each series (And

for each race) is a listing called 'Tier' or 'Tiers'. In every series, you

can't play any race in it at once. You have to beat the first ones to unlock

the next set, beat that set to unlock the one after that, and so on. I call

each set of races a tier. The tier listing under each series is how many tiers

of races there are in that series, and the listing under each race is what

tier that race is in.

As you go through this mode, you will earn lots of kudos and therefore, lots of

Kudos Tokens. When you are still in the first series of this mode, don't bother

to spend your tokens on any of the cars there. When you open the second series,

buy the car with the best stats before you do any races and then use that car.

When you open the next series and the ones after it, do the same thing.

If you are signed into Xbox Live while playing this mode, you can see

scoreboards. When you select a race, there will be a list of the top ten people

for that race (Based on kudos earned ) on the right side of the screen. You can

also select to see the entire scoreboard for the race. You will be added to the

scoreboard if you finish the race while still signed into Live.

2.1 - Compact Sports Series

**************************************

Cities: Florence, Sydney, Stockholm

Tiers: 3

Races: 7 (3x Street Race, 2x One on One, 1x Speed Camera)

Since this is the first series, it is obviously the easiest. It is easy to beat

many of the levels here on expert and the rest can be beaten on hard without

much trouble. Don't bother to spend your Kudos Tokens on any cars in this

series. Save them up so that you can buy the best car for the next series right

after you unlock it.

-------------------

Race 1: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Florence

Track: Duomo 2

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This being the first race, it is obviously very easy. You can beat it

on expert without much difficulty. The track itself is simple, too, with not

all that many turns.

------------------

Race 2: One on One

------------------

Tier 1

City: Florence

Track: Duomo 1

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: Like the last race, this one is also easy and you can beat it on expert

fairly easily, since it is only the second race in the game.

----------------------

Race 3: Cone Challenge

----------------------

Tier 2

City: Sydney

Track: Under the Bridge

Laps: 1

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race can actually be pretty hard. Beating it on medium isn't that

difficult, but it gets harder on hard and is very hard on expert. If you want

to win on hard, you will have to keep a combo going for the whole race. To win

on expert, you have to do that and slide a lot to increase your combo bonus.

There is one spot in the race where it is very tricky to keep a combo going.

It is on the turn that takes you onto the street with the second checkpoint.

Before the turn, there is a cone gate in the right lane. After the turn, there

is a cone gate in the left lane and then the checkpoint. It's actually easier

to do this if you don't pass through the second gate. After passing the first

one, you will want to slide through the turn. Start the slide early to keep

your combo going and try not to make it end until you are past where the second

cone gate is. If you try to go through that gate, you have to slow down to get

to it and you need the extra speed to get to the checkpoint.

------------------

Race 4: One on One

------------------

Tier 2

City: Sydney

Track: Dawes Point Loop

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race is a bit harder than the ones before it, except for the last

one. I had trouble with beating it on expert right away. In order to win on

expert, you will have to be able to take the first turn as fast as possible. If

you can do that, you will be very close to the other car after the turn and

will be able to pass it not long after that.

-------------------

Race 5: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 3

City: Stockholm

Track: Gamla Stan Loop

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: It's hard to get in first place with one of the default cars in hard or

expert, but it's possible. To do so, draft as much as you can along the long

street that turns a little bit to the left at the beginning of the race. When

you get to the big left turn, you want to cut in front of all three of the

other cars. Hit them if you must. If you can do that, you only have to hold

your position for the rest of the race.

--------------------

Race 6: Speed Camera

--------------------

Tier 3

City: Stockholm

Track: Speed Camera Track 1

Laps: N/A

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race is easy on medium and below. Hard and expert are a problem if

you are using one of the default three cars. If you are, hard should be barely

possible to get and I don't know if expert is at all. You probably need a

faster car to do it. The problem with this track is the three turns. You start

on a straightaway with a sharp right turn after it. Just after that there is a

left turn. Then there is the final turn, a right. After that is a straightaway.

At the end of it, where the track ends on the map, is the speed camera. You

have to be going at your target speed when you pass it. What you really have to

do is master getting around those turns with as much speed as possible and then

use that speed until you get to the end.

-------------------

Race 7: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 3

City: Stockholm

Track: Gamla Oval

Laps: 3

Weather: Sunny

Advice: Like the past few races, the one isn't very easy on hard or expert. You

might not want to try either if you haven't gotten any new cars yet. The best

time to gain positions is at the beginning of the race. Draft as much as you

can along the long road at the start that slightly turns to the right. At the

end of it, if you can take the sharp right cleanly, you will get a big

advantage.

**************************************

2.2 - Sports Convertible Series

**************************************

Cities: Moscow, Florence

Tiers: 3

Races: 7 (1x Overtake, 3x Street Race, 1x One on One, 1x Cone Challenge, 1x

          Speed Camera)

Before doing any races in this series, use your kudos tokens to buy one of the

better cars for this series. From now on, the first thing you should do when

you open up the next series is to use your saved up Kudos Tokens to buy the

best car.

----------------

Race 1: Overtake

----------------

Tier 1

City: Moscow

Track: Kremlin 1

Laps: N/A

Weather: Sunny

Advice: Don't start out on hard or expert on this race. Do medium first to see

how well you can do, and then if you did well and want to, do it on hard or

expert. I say that because this race is a bit more difficult that you might

expect. There are a total of seven other cars to overtake (Regardless of what

you set the difficulty to) and they all go surprisingly fast, so it isn't easy

to catch up to them. The track itself isn't a problem, since it is mostly a few

straight streets connected by wide turns.

-------------------

Race 2: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Moscow

Track: St Basil's Circle

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: On expert mode this race is very hard. The car that is usually in first

place is very fast, much quicker than the other cars, so it takes a lot of

skill to beat it. On the other difficulties, it isn't as hard to get into first

place (Or whatever position you have to get in to win).

-------------------

Race 3: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 2

City: Florence

Track: Piazza della Repubblica

Laps: 3

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This level is easy to get in first place in if you used Kudos Tokens to

buy a good car. If you didn't, you might only be able to beat it on hard,

because the car in first in expert is very fast. The track itself is very easy.

It's just a loop.

------------------

Race 4: One on One

------------------

Tier 2

City: Florence

Track: Uffizi

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race isn't all that difficult, except on expert. There is one easy

way to win it on expert (Or any other mode), though. You start on a long

straightaway. At the end of it, you have to make a right turn and then two

small left turns in succession. It is very easy to hit the car you are racing

against in this area. If you hit it so that it runs into a wall or bump the

back side of it and cause it to spin, you greatly increase your chances of

winning. Doing that is up to you.

----------------------

Race 5: Cone Challenge

----------------------

Tier 3

City: Moscow

Track: Lenin

Laps: 1

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This cone challenge is a bit easier than the last one. In this one, it

is very easy to keep a combo going throughout the entire level. To beat it on

expert, that is exactly what you will have to do. The hardest parts of this

race are the turns. There are no cone gates around any of the turns, so you

have to slide if you want to keep a combo going.

--------------------

Race 6: Speed Camera

--------------------

Tier 3

City: Moscow

Track: Speed Camera Track 1

Laps: N/A

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race is a little bit easier than the last speed camera one,

because the turns are easier to take. There is one left turn in the middle of

the track and then a big, wide, right turn. You go up a hill at the end of that

right turn and then make a gentle left onto the straightaway that holds the

camera. Even though the turns are easier, it still requires effort to beat the

level on hard and expert. You will need a very fast car to do that.

-------------------

Race 7: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 3

City: Moscow

Track: Red Square 2

Laps: 1

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race is hard to win in the higher difficulty levels, even with a

fast car. Like in some of the other races like this, you can use a turn near

the start of the race to your advantage. You start in a very wide road that has

its sides blocked off and is very straight. At the end of it is a VERY sharp

right turn. As the first two cars take it (They should take it together), you

can run into the first car as it turns to cause it to spin and crash. If that

happens, you can pass it and get into first. That can also cause the other cars

to crash, giving you an even bigger advantage. You could also try to pass it

without hitting it, but that isn't as likely to get you into first place.

**************************************

2.3 - Coupe Series

**************************************

Cities: Sydney, Stockholm

Tiers: 4

Races: 8 (1x Timed Run, 2x Street Race, 1x Speed Camera, 1x One on One, 1x Cone

Challenge, 1x Overtake, 1x Hot Lap)

Now things are getting harder. You probably wont be able to beat any of the

races in this series on expert without trying many times and mastering the

track the race takes place on. Beating the races here on hard is also more

difficult than before, but isn't terribly difficult yet.

-----------------

Race 1: Timed Run

-----------------

Tier 1

City: Sydney

Track: Dawes Point Loop

Laps: 2

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This is the exact same track as the one you raced on for the One on One

in the first series, though you have a faster car this time. Because of that,

you should remember how to get through this track and specifically, how to take

that first turn in it. Beating this level in hard can be done with a little

practice and a good car. Beating it in expert is obviously much more difficult

and requires even more practice.

-------------------

Race 2: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Sydney

Track: Cumberland Street

Laps: 3

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: As usual, you can get into first place at the start of this race. Draft

the other cars while you are on the long street that this race takes place on,

and when you get to the sharp left turn, you can pass any other cars in front

of you, as long as you don't screw up on the turn.

--------------------

Race 3: Speed Camera

--------------------

Tier 1

City: Sydney

Track: Speed Camera Track 1

Laps: N/A

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This speed camera race is even easier than the last two in some ways.

It has one big, long, left turn in the middle of it with straightaways at the

beginning and end. With a fast car, it is very easy to beat this race on hard.

------------------

Race 4: One on One

------------------

Tier 2

City: Sydney

Track: Harbour Bridge

Laps: 2

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This level is harder than the first ones in the series, mostly because

of all of the turns in the track. Getting in front of the other car isn't all

that hard, you can do it on the first turn, even on expert.

----------------------

Race 5: Cone Challenge

----------------------

Tier 3

City: Stockholm

Track: Northern 2

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race is a nightmare compared to the last cone challenge. This one

has lots of sharp turns onto narrow streets and on straightaways, gates that

are placed just a little bit too far apart for you to keep a combo going

through them unless you are going as fast as possible. Those sharp turns come

before the second checkpoint. There are three of them very close together, and

they are the only turns near that checkpoint. The first one is a right turn, it

is especially hard to take because you will probably be going very fast from

the last straightaway. Not far after it, there is a sharp left that is followed

by a sharp right.

----------------

Race 6: Overtake

----------------

Tier 3

City: Stockholm

Track: Gamla Island Hopping

Laps: N/A

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This track is almost the same as the one for the last street race of

the first series. Like in the last overtake challenge, the cars you have to

pass are rather quick. If you screw up, you might not be able to catch up.

Unlike the last one, you get more time when you increase the difficulty, which

makes things easier.

---------------

Race 7: Hot Lap

---------------

Tier 4

City: Stockholm

Track: Round the Riksdagshuset

Laps: 1

Weather: Sunny

Advice: Unfortunately, this track goes through some of the same areas that the

cone challenge one did. The worst part of this track is that is has the same

very sharp turn onto a narrow street. Other than that, this race isn't horribly

difficult, since you still aren't very far in the game.

-------------------

Race 8: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 4

City: Stockholm

Track: Island Hop

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This track is fairly complicated, because it has lots of turns. That is

good news for you, since turns are a great place to pass opponents. On hard,

you can get into first place before the first checkpoint by passing the other

cars on turns. On expert, you can also pass a lot of the cars on the turns, but

it will take much longer.

**************************************

2.4 - Sport Utility Series

**************************************

Cities: Edinburgh, Florence, Moscow

Tiers: 4

Races: 8 (1x Hot Lap, 1x Speed Camera, 3x Street Race, 1x One on One, 1x Cone

         Challenge, 1x Overtake)

Now beating races on expert will be damned near impossible and beating them on

hard will require lots of practice. Beating the races on medium still isn't

very hard at this level.

---------------

Race 1: Hot Lap

---------------

Tier 1

City: Edinburgh

Track: Princess Street East

Laps: 3

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race isn't very hard, you an probably actually beat it on your

first try. You get a lot of time to beat it on hard, so you can even beat it

after making a small mistake or two.

--------------------

Race 2: Speed Camera

--------------------

Tier 1

City: Edinburgh

Track: Speed Camera Track 1

Laps: N/A

Weather: Rain

Advice: Unlike the other speed camera races you've done so far, this one only

has turns at the beginning of the track. At the start the track angles to the

right and then there is a sharp left turn. After that there is another sharp

left and then two gentle turns. The first one is to the left and the second is

to the right. After that there is a straightaway with the end of the track at

the end. With a fast car, it's very easy to beat it on hard.

-------------------

Race 3: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Edinburgh

Track: Princess Street Loop

Laps: 3

Weather: Sunny

Advice: You won't be able to pass all of the other cars on the straightaway at

the start of this race, so you will have to pass most of them in the first

turn. You have to be careful when passing them in that turn, though. If you hit

one of them, you will be slowed down a lot and the car in first place will get

far in front of you. After you are through that turn, the next turn is the best

place to get in front of any other cars, especially on expert. If you can't get

in front of them here, try to on the next big turn.

------------------

Race 4: One on One

------------------

Tier 2

City: Edinburgh

Track: Grassmarket Eight

Laps: 2

Weather: Night (Clear)

Advice: On hard, it is really easy to get into first place at the beginning of

the race. You can do it on the first turn. If for whatever reason you don't get

into first on that turn, you can on the turns at the end of the winding road.

On expert, you won't be able to get into first on that first turn. When you are

on the winding road, just draft the other car. If you get the chance, pass him

on this road. If not, pass him when you get to the turns at the end of the

road. All you have to do after that on any difficulty is hold your position.

----------------------

Race 5: Cone Challenge

----------------------

Tier 3

City: Florence

Track: Arno 2

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This cone challenge is a bit easier than the last one. The cone gates

are closer together and there aren't any streets that are really narrow. There

are only two spots in this race that are a bit difficult. The first is near the

middle of the race, between the two checkpoints. After the first checkpoint,

you turn onto a long street. At the end of it, it has the turn where you first

make a gentle right and then have to make a sharp left. There is a cone gate

in the middle of it. After you pass that gate, you have to do a long slide to

get to the next cone gate, since it is kind of far away and this turn makes you

go very slow. The other difficult part is near the end of the race, on the same

street that the second checkpoint is on. That street is the one that turns to

the left at the end and then makes a right turn onto the last street. It's easy

to take this turn too fast and hit a wall, or too slow and have your combo end.

----------------

Race 6: Overtake

----------------

Tier 3

City: Florence

Track: Duomo 1

Laps: N/A

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race takes place on a track you've already raced on. The track

itself is rather simple. Since the track itself is easy, it isn't all that hard

to beat this race on the harder difficulties, especially since you don't always

have less time as the difficulty goes up. It's easy to pass all of the cars on

the hard difficulty, and even easier on expert since you get more time. Just

try to avoid going too fast through turns in this race, if you do and end up

hitting walls, you will lose a lot of speed and might have a harder time

beating the race.

-------------------

Race 7: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 4

City: Moscow

Track: Kremlin 1

Laps: 4

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This is the same track as the first overtake challenge, back in the

second series, was on. On hard and expert, you just have to get a good start to

beat this race. If you can't get into first or second in the first lap, the

cars in front of you will probably start to get a bigger and bigger lead on you

as the race goes on. The best place to get a good lead at the start is on the

first turn. If you can take it without slowing down too much from hitting the

other cars or braking to avoid hitting them, you can get near the front of the

pack of other cars right away and then pass any others on the next turns.

-------------------

Race 8: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 4

City: Moscow

Track: Red Square 1

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: The track this race takes place on is much more complicated and

obviously much longer than the last one. Because of all of the turns on this

track, most of your opponents will go very slowly. On hard, all of them but the

one that starts in first will end up very far behind you. While playing on

hard, you can pass most of them on the street you start on. When you get to the

turn at the end of the street, you can pass the rest of the other cars. On

expert, you wont be able to pass all of the other cars when you get to that

turn. You will have to try to get in front of them on the next few turns.

2.5 - Pacific Muscle Series

**************************************

Cities: Hong Kong, Yokohama

Tiers: 5

Races: 10 (6x Street Race, 1x Cone Challenge, 1x Hot Lap, 1x One on One, 1x

           Speed Camera)

It can be very hard to get into first place on some of the street races in this

series. If you don't get into first place in those races right away, you

might not be able to at all, since the car in first will just get a bigger and

bigger lead on you.

-------------------

Race 1: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Hong Kong

Track: The Convention Centres

Laps: 4

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This street race is a lot harder than the others that you've done so

far. One of the most important things to do in this race is to take the very

first turn perfectly. Take it so that you get the good line kudos bonus. If you

do this, you can do a few things. First, you will be closer to the car in first

place. Second, you will block the car that starts in third place so that it

can't pass you after you've passed it (You should have passed it before getting

to the turn). You will also be able to to get in front of the car that starts

in second. If you can do this, you can get in front of the car in first by the

end of the first lap, even on expert.

-------------------

Race 2: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Hong Kong

Track: Wan Chai Run

Laps: 4

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This race takes place on a track that is much more difficult than the

one in the last race, but you can pass the other cars sooner. You get a good

chance to pass the right on the first turn. They take it very slowly, so you

can pass almost all of them on it. You can then pass the rest on the next few

turns if you have to.

-------------------

Race 3: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Hong Kong

Track: Harbour Run

Laps: 4

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: The track in this race follows a similar path to the one in the last

race, except you race in the opposite direction and it is a little bit longer.

As usual, the best place to pass the other cars is on the first turn in the

track. On hard, you can then pass the rest of the cars some time around the

next turn. On expert, it will take much longer to get into first. It might even

take the whole first lap to get close enough to pass the first place car.

----------------------

Race 4: Cone Challenge

----------------------

Tier 2

City: Yokohama

Track: Sakuragicho

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: The track this takes place on is nice and wide and only has streets

that are straight on it. The race may even be easier than the last cone

challenge. The gates are mostly close together, except on almost all of the

few turns. You will have to slide through the first and last two turns on this

track to keep a combo going. The last turn is even trickier than that. There

are two cone gates that come after it before you get to the start and finish

line. One is right after the turn and the other is further back. When sliding

through the turn, it may actually be easier to slide past the first of those

gates and then only go through the second.

---------------

Race 5: Hot Lap

---------------

Tier 2

City: Yokohama

Track: Shinko Park

Laps: 1

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This race takes place on a track that has two parallel straightaways

with left turns that connect them at each end. That's all. Take a fast car for

this race for the straightaways, and practice taking the turns as quickly as

possible to beat it.

------------------

Race 6: One on One

------------------

Tier 3

City: Yokohama

Track: Seaside Loop

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: Like the other Yokohama tracks, this one takes place on wide, straight

roads and doesn't have many very sharp turns where you don't have much space to

turn. Before you get to the first turn on this track, draft the other car. Once

you are at the turn, you can pass the other car. You can also bump into the car

to make it crash, if you want to be cheap.

-------------------

Race 7: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 4

City: Yokohama

Track: Yokohama Bay Tour

Laps: 2

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This race takes place on a Yokohama track that actually has a few

narrow roads. This first turn on this track can be a problem when you are on

the first lap. You will have to squeeze past all of the other cars while they

are turning, and if you hit one of them, there is always the chance that it

will slow you down a lot. If you can get through this turn without slowing down

much, you should be in a good position already. You may need the rest of the

first lap to catch up to the other cars, but once you are in first, you only

have to hold your position for the rest of the race.

-------------------

Race 8: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 4

City: Yokohama

Track: Minato Mirai

Laps: 2

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This is another Yokohama track with wide, straight roads and mostly

90-degree turns. The key to getting in first on this track is the first two

turns, which are a right turns. Try to get in front of as many cars as you can

on these turns, but go through them as fast as possible.

--------------------

Race 9: Speed Camera

--------------------

Tier 5

City: Hong Kong

Track: Speed Camera Track 1

Laps: N/A

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: The big turn in this track is on a hill in the middle of it. On that

hill there are a couple of left turns. After it there is a very long road that

is straight except for a gentle left turn in the middle of it. At the end of it

is the end of the track. You have to master getting through those turns with

optimal speed to beat this level on a higher difficulty.

--------------------

Race 10: Street Race

--------------------

Tier 5

City: Hong Kong

Track: Admiralty

Laps: 3

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This track is very long and has a lot of twists and turns in it. That's

a good thing, because it means there are more turns in which you can get ahead

of your opponents. You can't get in front of them on the first turn, even on

hard, but you can on the turn following that. After that turn, there will be

one more turn where you can pass a lot of the other cars. You should be in

first or near it after that. Since there are a lot more turns on the track, you

can still use those to pass any other cars in front of you. Just don't screw up

on those turns and crash.

2.6 - Roadster Series

**************************************

Cities: Sydney, Edinburgh, Florence

Tiers: 4

Races: 11 (3x Street Race, 2x Cone Challenge, 3x Timed Run, 1x Overtake, 1x One

           on One, 1x Speed Camera)

This series is a little easier than the last one, but then again, it doesn't

have as many street races as the last one did. It's not even that difficult to

beat some of the races in this series on expert.

-----------------

Race 1: Timed Run

-----------------

Tier 1

City: Sydney

Track: Opera House View

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: The track this race takes place on may look somewhat difficult, but it

really isn't. Except for a street near the end where there is a narrow street

that goes up a hill, most of the streets are wide. Because of that, this race

isn't very hard.

----------------------

Race 2: Cone Challenge

----------------------

Tier 1

City: Sydney

Track: Under the Bridge

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This is the exact same race as the cone challenge from the first

series. The track is the same and the position of the cones is the same. Other

than you obviously having a different class of cars to use this time, the only

real difference is that this time there are two laps instead of one.

-------------------

Race 3: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Sydney

Track: Downtown Short

Laps: 5

Weather: Sunny

Advice: There may be a lot of laps in this race, but that is because the track

itself is very short. Not only as the track short, but it is pretty easy, with

only a few big turns in it. If you are in a fast car, you can easily get into

first and then get a lead of around 7 or more seconds on the second placed car

in medium or hard modes. In expert, you wont be able to get much of a lead, and

you will have to race without making very many mistakes to get past the car

that is in first. The place where you are most likely to make mistakes is on

the first turn. This turn is a very sharp left turn. You have to be going very

slow through it to avoid hitting the outside barrier on it.

-----------------

Race 4: Timed Run

-----------------

Tier 2

City: Sydney

Track: Harbour Bridge

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: It'll require a lot of practice and a perfect run through the track to

beat it on expert. Hard isn't as difficult, but you still wont have much time

to spare on it. The track itself doesn't have very many straight streets on it,

in fact, you start on the only one that really is. You've actually raced on

this track once already, so hopefully you remember it.

----------------

Race 5: Overtake

----------------

Tier 2

City: Sydney

Track: Hickson Run

Laps: N/A

Weather: Sunny

Advice: It's not too difficult to beat this on hard or expert, because you get

more time in those than you do in medium. Still, you will need all of that

time. There are a lot of places where it's easy to crash on this track, and you

will want to avoid any crashing if you are trying to beat it on expert. There

is a turn on this track that seems to come out of nowhere. After you go down a

hill and make a sharp left turn at the bottom, you will be on the street that

that turn is on. It obviously comes at the end of that street that is at the

bottom of the hill.

-----------------

Race 6: Timed Run

-----------------

Tier 3

City: Edinburgh

Track: Princess Street Long

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This track has a lot of turns near the last third of the race for you

to screw up on. To beat it on expert or hard, you will have to be able to go

through them without making any mistakes. You might have to practice going

through it once or twice before you can beat it.

----------------------

Race 7: Cone Challenge

----------------------

Tier 3

City: Edinburgh

Track: Grassmarket Eight

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: The track that this cone challenge is on is very long and has a lot of

narrow roads on it. There are two places on it that are specifically difficult,

and that is because of speed. At the beginning of the race, you go onto a long

street with lots of cone gates on it. At the end, there are two left turns in

a row and the first checkpoint is in between the. It is very easy to go too

fast for the first of those and hit the wall, which will screw up any combo you

have going. After those, you will be on a street that has a sharp right turn

onto a narrow street at the end of it. You might have the same problem with

going too fast to make that turn as well.

------------------

Race 8: One on One

------------------

Tier 3

City: Edinburgh

Track: Grassmarket East

Laps: 2

Weather: Rain

Advice: It isn't that hard to beat the car you are racing against in this race,

even on expert, but it is raining, so it is much easier to make mistakes than

usual. You will have to get used to braking earlier for turns. On hard, you can

pass the other car on the straightaway that you start on. On expert, you

probably wont be able to pass it until the first turn.

-------------------

Race 9: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 4

City: Florence

Track: Ponte Vecchio

Laps: 3

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This race actually isn't very hard, because you can get in front of

most of the cars, even on expert, on the first turn. The race is also very

long, so you have plenty of time to catch up to any cars in front of you and

plenty of time to get a lead on the cars behind you. That first turn on this

track is a very wide left turn. In it, there is plenty of room to drive right

on past the other cars. The next turn after that is a wide right turn. You

should be able to pass any remaining cars by the time you get here.

---------------------

Race 10: Speed Camera

---------------------

Tier 4

City: Florence

Track: Speed Camera Track 1

Laps: N/A

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This speed camera track has one turn near the beginning and one turn

near the end with a big straightaway between those turns. The first turn is the

turn where first you have to make a right, then you have to make a sharp left.

At the end of the straightaway, the turn is a very wide right turn. If you take

it too fast and go too far into it, you will end up going slow when you pass by

the speed camera, which isn't very far past that turn. Take it slowly, like it

isn't a wide turn, to end up going faster after it.

--------------------

Race 11: Street Race

--------------------

Tier 4

City: Florence

Track: Battistero 2

Laps: 3

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This race takes place on a track that is the same as the one in the

last street race you did, except you race this one in the opposite direction

and at the end of it (What was the beginning in the last race) there are a few

extra turns. These turns actually make the race easier, since they are wider

than the ones in the last race. Like in that last race, by the first turn in

this track, you should be able to get in front of almost all of the other cars.

**************************************

2.7 - Classics Series

**************************************

Cities: Barcelona, Edinburgh

Tiers: 4

Races: 11 (3x Hot Lap, 1x Timed Run, 2x Street Race, 2x One on One, 1x Cone

Challenge, 1x Overtake, 1x Speed Camera)

Most of the races in this series are surprisingly easy. You should be able to

beat all of them on hard without trying too many times, except for the last two

hot laps. Those are a bit difficult to do on hard.

---------------

Race 1: Hot Lap

---------------

Tier 1

City: Barcelona

Track: Las Ramblas

Laps: 1

Weather: Sunny

Advice: Some of the streets on this track are a bit on the narrow side, and the

turns here are sharp. Still, it isn't the most difficult of tracks. You should

be able to beat it on hard without much practice.

-----------------

Race 2: Timed Run

-----------------

Tier 1

City: Barcelona

Track: Catedral

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race is harder than it looks. Beating it on hard is enough of a

challenge, and beating it on expert is even harder. The hardest part of this

race is the first turn. You don't want to take it too fast, since you will

obviously hit the barrier, but if you take it too slow, you will lose too much

speed. The pairs of turns that come after it are also difficult, since if you

don't slow down enough for the second one, you wont be able to cut straight

through those two turns.

-------------------

Race 3: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Barcelona

Track: Place de Jaume

Laps: 3

Weather: Sunny

Advice: Like in all of the other street races that you've done recently, the

best time to get into first place is right at the beginning. After the first

turn, you should be in second or third place. On the turn after that, you can

get in front of the rest of the cars.

------------------

Race 4: One on One

------------------

Tier 2

City: Barcelona

Track: Catalan Challenge

Laps: 2

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: Your opponent in this race isn't in the fastest of cars, so it is

really easy to win (Even on expert) if you are in a faster one. You can even

get into first on the long straightaway at the start of the race.

---------------

Race 5: Hot Lap

---------------

Tier 3

City: Edinburgh

Track: Grassmarket West

Laps: 1

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This hot lap challenge is more difficult than the last few you've done.

It will take a few tries at least to beat it on hard, and it will obviously be

even more difficult to beat it on expert. You will only be able to beat it on

hard if you know the track well enough to not make any mistakes, so that's

why it will probably take a few tries. Expert obviously requires that you make

no mistakes and are able to get through the track even faster.

----------------------

Race 6: Cone Challenge

----------------------

Tier 3

City: Edinburgh

Track: Lothian Road Eight Long

Laps: 1

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This track is very long and it has quite a few areas where there are

long stretches between cone gates, making it difficult to keep one combo going

for the whole track. Other than that, there aren't any turns that are sharp or

anything like that, so it isn't all that hard to beat this race on expert.

----------------

Race 7: Overtake

----------------

Tier 3

City: Edinburgh

Track: Terrace Sprint

Laps: N/A

Weather: Sunny

Advice: There isn't much to the track this race takes place on. There are two

main stretches of road, and they both have lots of gentle turns in them. There

are a series of streets with sharp turns in them at each end of the track that

connect the two main roads. Those sharp turns are the most difficult part of

the track. They can slow you down a lot, and if they do, it will be harder to

overtake more of the other cars. If you want to beat this race on expert, you

will have to master those turns to keep as much speed through them as possible.

------------------

Race 8: One on One

------------------

Tier 3

City: Edinburgh

Track: Princess Street Long

Laps: 3

Weather: Rain

Advice: This race takes place on the same track as the timed run in Edinburgh

in the last series. This time, it is raining. That makes this track much

harder. That is the biggest problem here. You can get in front of the car you

are racing against by the time you are through the first turn on any

difficulty, but you wont be able to stay in front of you crash in the turns

because of the rain. Get in front of that other car right away, brake for turns

early to avoid crashing and don't let the other car pass you and you should be

able to win this.

---------------

Race 9: Hot Lap

---------------

Tier 4

City: Barcelona

Track: Barri Gotic

Laps: 1

Weather: Sunny

Advice: Like the last hot lap, this one is pretty difficult on hard, and

obviously much harder on expert. If you make any mistakes while trying to beat

it on hard, you will probably have to try again. There are a few turns where it

is very easy to make those mistakes, too. Most of those mistakes can come from

not slowing down enough on turns where it is hard to judge how fast you should

go. You might have to go through the track a first time to see how fast you

should go on all of those turns and then play to win.

---------------------

Race 10: Speed Camera

---------------------

Tier 4

City: Barcelona

Track: Speed Camera Track 1

Laps: N/A

Weather: Sunny

Advice: The turn on this speed camera track is right at the beginning. It is a

wide and long left turn and it goes onto the very long straightaway in this

city. At the end of the straightaway is the speed camera and the end of the

track. There really isn't much else to say about this race.

--------------------

Race 11: Street Race

--------------------

Tier 4

City: Barcelona

Track: Las Ramblas

Laps: 5

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race is on the same track as the first hot lap in this series, so

you will have been through the track recently. As with any other street race,

you can get into first place right on the first turn. After taking first place,

hold it until the end of the race for an easy win.

**************************************

2.8 - Sports Coupe Series

**************************************

Cities: Stockholm, Yokohama, Hong Kong

Tiers: 5

Races: 13 (2x Timed Run, 2x Overtake, 5x Street Race, 2x One on One, 1x Cone

           Challenge, 1x Speed Camera)

This series seems to be a little bit more difficult than the last one. Some of

the races in this one are much harder to beat on hard than the races in the

last series.

-----------------

Race 1: Timed Run

-----------------

Tier 1

City: Stockholm

Track: Gamla Stan Loop

Laps: 3

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: In this race, there is actually a surprisingly high amount of time to

beat it on hard. But still, it doesn't make beating it on expert any easier

than it is on any other timed run.

----------------

Race 2: Overtake

----------------

Tier 1

City: Stockholm

Track: Northern

Laps: N/A

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: In this overtake race, you don't get more time to complete it on the

higher difficulties like in some of the other overtakes. That makes it a lot

harder to beat it on hard or expert. There are only five cars to overtake on

this track no matter the difficulty, and the fourth and fifth cars are always

very close to each other, so if you can pass the fourth one, you can probably

also pass the fifth one. Keep that in mind when choosing a difficulty setting.

-------------------

Race 3: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Stockholm

Track: Bridges

Laps: 2

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This race is a real pain because of all of the turns on this track.

Many of them are sharp turns onto narrow streets. It's easy to take them with

too much speed and end up crashing. Because of that, it can be very hard to

stay in first place once you get into it, since your opponents wont mess up on

the turns. Passing those opponents is easy at the beginning of the race. You

can pass most of them on the street that you start on and then pass the rest of

them on the first turn.

------------------

Race 4: One on One

------------------

Tier 2

City: Stockholm

Track: Northern 3

Laps: 2

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This track has a lot of turns in it, but it isn't nearly as bad (Or as

long) as the last one. You should be able to pass the other car on the first

turn in this track. If you don't, you defiantly should be able to by the time

you turn onto a second bridge.

----------------

Race 5: Overtake

----------------

Tier 3

City: Yokohama

Track: Warehouse Loop

Laps: N/A

Weather: Rain

Advice: This race is surprisingly easy for an overtake race. On my first try, I

was able to pass all of the cars. You have the same amount of time to beat it

on hard or expert, and the fourth and fifth cars (You need to pass four on hard

and five on expert) drive very close to each other. Instead of playing on hard,

just skip it and go straight to expert, since if you can pass four cars,

passing the fifth is easy. For the track itself, there is rain, but if you

remember the races in Yokohama from a series or two back, all of the streets

are wide and straight, and the turns are also wide. Because of that, you don't

have to take the turns here too slowly and don't have to worry about slipping

into the barrier of a windy road.

-------------------

Race 6: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 3

City: Yokohama

Track: Kishamichi

Laps: 2

Weather: Rain

Advice: At first glance it might look like this track is almost the same as the

last one, but it really isn't. You start on the same long straightaway as the

last one, but you go much further on it on this track. When you get to the end

of that straightaway, you will have a very good chance to pass the other cars

as they take the sharp right turn.

Race 7: Cone Challenge

----------------------

Tier 3

City: Yokohama

Track: Downtown

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: You don't get very much time on this race, so keep an eye on the clock

at the end of the race. If that wasn't enough of a problem, you still have to

worry about getting kudos, which isn't that difficult in this race. There are

a lot of places where the cone gates are far apart, but it's easy to go fast

enough on this track to get between them quickly. Also, there are a lot of

turns that don't have any cone gates in them and there aren't any close to

them. Just slide through them to keep a combo going.

--------------------

Race 8: Speed Camera

--------------------

Tier 3

City: Yokohama

Track: Speed Camera Track 1

Laps: N/A

Weather: Sunny

Advice: The big turn in this track is right at the beginning, so you have

plenty or room after it to get up speed. The turn is a very sharp right. After

it, there is a gentle left onto a straightaway that has the end of the track

and the speed camera on it.

------------------

Race 9: One on One

------------------

Tier 4

City: Yokohama

Track: Warehouse Loop

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race takes place on the same track as the last overtake did, but

this time there is no rain. Since that overtake was only a few races ago, you

should still have this track fresh in your memory. On hard and below, like in

any other race, you can get into first place by the first time. On expert, you

should be able to by the time you get to the second turn.

------------------

Race 10: Timed Run

------------------

Tier 5

City: Hong Kong

Track: Hennessey Road

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This is one of the harder timed runs. It will take a few attempts at

least to before you can beat it on hard, and as you should know by now, a lot

more to beat it on expert. The track itself isn't that bad, but there are a few

tricky turns on it.

--------------------

Race 11: Street Race

--------------------

Tier 5

City: Hong Kong

Track: Admiralty

Laps: 3

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race is kind of easy, especially compared to the next one. On

hard, you can get into first place after the first couple turns and as long as

you don't screw up, get a very big lead on the rest of the cars. On expert, it

can take much longer to get into first place (It might take a good portion of

the first lap to do it), but it is easy to keep up with the car in first when

it is in front of you.

--------------------

Race 12: Street Race

--------------------

Tier 5

City: Hong Kong

Track: Wan Chai Run

Laps: 5

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This race is actually kind of difficult. It is hard to get into first

place at all on hard, and of course it is even harder on expert. At the

beginning of the track there is a sharp left turn followed by a sharp right

turn. On the first lap, you can pass by most of the other cars here. There are

more turns where you another good chance to pass some cars after that, but they

aren't until you are closer to the end of the first lap. Any cars that you

don't pass by the end of the first lap will probably end up too far ahead of

you to pass.

--------------------

Race 13: Street Race

--------------------

Tier 5

City: Hong Kong

Track: Cotton Tree Drive

Laps: 3

Weather: Sunny

Advice: The hardest part of this race is at the very beginning of it. There are

a total of seven other cars, and the beginning of the track has a freeway with

a sharp right turn in it. The part of the street leading up to the freeway is

narrow, as narrow as the freeway, and you have to squeeze past all of the other

cars in this narrow section. Try to stay to the right until you get to the

actual turn, most of the other cars seem to go on the left side of the street,

meaning the right is mostly clear. Once you are past that sharp turn, you

should be able to get up to second place (Assuming you didn't lose speed by

hitting any of the other cars). From here it will probably take awhile to catch

up to the car in first, so you might be close to finishing the first lap when

you do.

2.9 - American Muscle Series

**************************************

Cities: Chicago, Washington D.C.

Tiers: 5

Races: 14 (7x Street Race, 2x Cone Challenge, 2x Hot Lap, 1x One on One, 1x

           Timed Run, 1x Speed Camera)

This series has some easy races, and some that are very difficult. In many of

the street races, all of your opponents will be very close behind you, so you

wont be able to afford to make even the smallest mistake. If you are having

trouble with a race, you can always lower the difficulty.

-------------------

Race 1: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Chicago

Track: The Miracle Mile

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: Finally, a race in Chicago. You will soon learn that a lot of the

streets here are nice and wide, and so are the turns. Of course, there are

some roads that aren't wide and some sharp turns. In the race itself, the best

place to get into first is right at the beginning on the first turn. I say that

for every street race, but it is more important in this one. If you don't pass

the other cars on this turn, there wont be another good spot to pass them, so

you might not be able to do it at all.

-------------------

Race 2: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 1

City: Chicago

Track: Chicago River Tour

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: At the beginning of this track there are two turns in a row. The first

one is a right turn and the second one is a left. Of course, these are where

you will want to pass the other cars. The car that starts in first is too far

ahead to pass on the first turn, but you should be able to pass it by the

second one.

----------------------

Race 3: Cone Challenge

----------------------

Tier 2

City: Chicago

Track: North Wabash Overpass

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: There are a few places on this track where cone gates are far apart,

making it difficult to continue one combo through the entire track. There are

four major streets like this. After the third turn, there are three long

streets that run east to west or west to east. The gates are far apart on

these. The gates are also far apart on the last street, right after you cross

a bridge. You might have to slide a little bit as the road makes a gentle turn

when you get off that bridge. Also, the first bridge you go across in this race

is divided in the middle. There are the same number of cone gates on each side

of the divider, so it doesn't matter which side you take.

---------------

Race 4: Hot Lap

---------------

Tier 2

City: Chicago

Track: Wells & Lake

Laps: 1

Weather: Sunny

Advice: You can probably tell that this track wont be easy just by looking at

the track map. There are a lot of turns on this track, and a lot of them come

after long straightaways, so it is easy not to brake enough for them. In order

to beat this level on hard, you will have to do very good. If you have too much

trouble beating it on hard, just try it on medium.

------------------

Race 5: One on One

------------------

Tier 2

City: Chicago

Track: In The Loop

Laps: 2

Weather: Rain

Advice: This race starts on a long straightaway with a left turn at the end.

You can catch up to the other car on the straightaway and then pass it on the

turn. Then you just have to avoid letting it pass you for the rest of the race.

-------------------

Race 6: Street Race

-------------------

Tier 2

City: Chicago

Track: Wells & Lake

Laps: 3

Weather: Clear (Night)

Advice: This race takes place on the same track as the last hot lap did. You

have to get into first place as soon as possible on this track to win. After

awhile, the car in first place will probably start to get a big lead on you if

you don't. You wont be able to get into first place right away, but you should

be able to somewhere around the tunnel straightaway on this track. The cars

other than the one are much easier to get in front of. You can get in front of

all of them on the first turn and since there are so many other turns on this

track, they wont go very fast and you can get a huge lead on them.

----------------------

Race 7: Cone Challenge

----------------------

Tier 3

City: Washington D.C.

Track: Northside Slide

Laps: 2

Weather: Sunny

Advice: This is the first race in Washington D.C. There are a lot of wide roads

in this city, although not as wide as in Chicago, and there aren't that many

sharp turns. On this track, there are a few places where it is hard to keep a

combo going due to the distance between cone gates. In fact, almost all of the
